I came across your blog when I was looking for information about a much darker affair at the old rectory in Eversholt - http://www.eversholt.org/eversholt-history/poor-law-and-workhouse/susan-deacon
and today I live just over the field from the rectory - I nearly bought it myself - and know the owners.
